Mountain Bike and Trekking
The valleys and hills surrounding the town of San Vincenzo offer interesting trekking and mountain biking itineraries. The possibilities that the hinterland offers are suitable both for amateurs, with simple and medium-difficulty itineraries, and for the more demanding, with more difficult and challenging routes. In addition, excursions lasting several days can be organised.
In an area made available by the municipal administration, the Emotions Tour Association has created a track to introduce children and their parents to the world of mountain biking.
Trekking shoes, mountain bikes and comfortable clothing, a detailed map and off you go to discover the trails, San Vincenzo and the Costa Etrusca: places full of charm, surrounded by greenery and far from confusion and chaos. Amidst stone houses, old ruins, mule tracks, and old quarries, evocative routes wind their way.
After passing the built-up area, we find ourselves pedalling through the greenery and, after a few hundred metres of difference in altitude, we find ourselves immersed in chestnut woods, in an environment that is completely different from that of the coast, consisting mainly of Mediterranean scrub (pines and junipers). Among woods and valleys, ruins of old mines, but also picturesque villages.
